About Us

A beautifully set dining table with floral centerpieces. — Elks Lodge
A beautifully set dining table with floral centerpieces.

Fifteen American Legion Terrace is one of those addresses that locals recognize by reputation. The Dumont Elks Lodge has hosted baby showers, retirement parties, photo shoots, and community fundraisers under the same roof, and the staff remembers your family by name after your first visit. That kind of continuity is rare, and it shows in the reviews from members who have been booking this hall for six years running.

The main hall is genuinely large. When guests describe it, the word that keeps coming up is spacious, roomy enough for sizable guest lists, long backdrop runs for photographers, and dance floors that don't feel like an afterthought. Recent renovations have refreshed the interior while keeping the character that longtime members appreciate.

Beyond the events business, the Lodge is part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a national fraternal organization with a century-long record of charitable giving, veteran support, and youth programs. Renting the hall funds that mission directly, so every celebration here does a little good in Bergen County at the same time.

What We Offer

The Lodge hall accommodates a wide range of private events: birthday milestones, baby showers, retirement sendoffs, anniversary dinners, corporate gatherings, and creative productions like photo shoots that need open floor space and high ceilings. The room can be configured for seated dinners, cocktail-style receptions, or a hybrid layout depending on your headcount and vision.

Event rental packages include access to the main hall, tables, and chairs, with the flexibility to bring in your own caterer or coordinate with vendors the staff can recommend from years of working with local professionals. The team is hands-on during setup and available throughout your event, which is why so many families return year after year.

Membership in the Elks Lodge opens additional doors: fraternal meetings, community service opportunities, scholarship programs for local youth, and support initiatives for veterans across New Jersey. Whether you come for a single event or decide to join, you leave connected to something larger than the occasion itself.

Ladies Bathroom had two mirror areas, two stalls, there’s also a mini stage of maybeeee 11 ft or a bit bigger in length."

"Had 2 events in this place. 4 years ago was the baby shower and yesterday was for my mom’s retirement party. We love the hall. It can accommodate a good amount of guest depending on if you want a dance floor/activity area or just plain sit down event with no games. Also they have a decent size stage. They have built in speaker system and microphone. What I love the most is they have a food bar with built in heating tray. They also have a kitchen and fridge you can use. You have an option pay for a soda bar and open bar or you can do a cash bar. They are strict though with No tapes/pins on their walls but can be remedied with creative alternative. The first event we did was for 100 guest but can go up to 120 comfortably with a dance floor/ game area. For my moms, we had 50 guest with a whole lot of room for everyone to be on the dance floor altogether. You can set up 1hr before the party and part of the contract is to clean after. Pretty much return the place the way it was before you start decorating. Price is very reasonable for my opinion compare to most halls and the amenities that you can use with the hall is the big plus that I don’t see with other halls. They are flexible and easy to talk too. We did move my moms retirement party to a different date with no problems. Very accommodating and helpful. Looking forward for more events in this place."

"Planned on having an event here where I spoke to the person in charge of setting it up. Put a deposit down and she gave me the basic information (ex. How many people we can have). Ended up having more people than was allowed at this lodge so we decided to go another route and find a bigger venue. Spoke to that person and the manager of the lodge, separately, where now they’re telling us they can accomodate more. I’m not sure if it was stipulated on the contract but theres a big miscommunication between the person in charge of renting the hall and the manager. They’re telling us two diff things. Initially she was going to return our deposit but that manager is refusing to. She also said she’d call us back but I’m sure she probably won’t and I’m sure this won’t weigh on their decision to do much about rectifying things. Only reason why its 1 star is bec she was pleasant and she was willing to return the deposit. Manager wasnt much help."
